Alpecin Consumer Reviews

Its good for hair
By Vince from Cornwall, age 59, who has been using Alpecin C1 shampoo for six weeks:
My nephew who is in his 20's stared using Alpecin shampoo, and after 2 months noticed a difference. He dyes his hair and the rubbing to remove dye from the scalp, caused it to thin out. He still dyes his hair but hair loss has stopped and growth has started. He told me about it, as I've dyed my hair for many years, and I'm 59 and although I've had a good head of hair it had started to thin rapidly the last 5 years or so, probably to the rubbing of the skin to remove dye and of course I'm getting older now. I will vouch for this product, as I've used it, still use it, and still dye my hair. After 6 weeks hair loss has stopped, and regrowth has surprised me and allayed any doubts. For £5.35 it is amazing stuff. You must leave it on for 2 minutes though, to let it soak in, and I wash my hair with it 3 times per week. I notice the hair clinics knock it, but that is because they want your money by the thousands. You do what you like, but I'm gonna keep using this stuff as it's not much more than normal shampoo. AND IT WORKS!!!!! for me anyway. Top marks, and about time!!! 10 out of 10.
Looking better - hair strengthening
By James from Leeds, age 33, who has been using Alpecin shampoo for four months:
I use this in conjunction with Propecia tablets. I have used the shampoo for around 4 months, so just about a full cycle. I have also recently begun using the liquid.
I am always very very sceptical about these sort of things. Who can prove that the shampoo is responsible for what is clearly a recovery in my crown? It may be just the Propecia.
However it is beyond doubt that there has been a recovery of sorts, though nothing on the hairline/temples.
So far so good!
By Matty from Bristol, age 36, who has been using Alpecin C1 for one month:
I've had typical MPB thinning at the temples since I was around 28. Progressively getting thinner and thinner but no area increase. By this year the hair was completely gone. After a months use of C1 I have regrowth and a continous hairline again!! Its still finer than the rest but early days and it appears to be catching up with the rest. So far sooo good!!
By Rod from Northern England, age 64, who has been using Alpecin for three months:
I've been using it for over 3 months. I have very thin silver hair, and previously had nothing but a few wispy strands at the front but nothing to comb. I used to trim these wisps off with my beard trimmer as they itched. I use Alpecin every day and I now have proper hair at my front hairline again which my barber has to cut with scissors - It continues to improve steadily and, altho it will never again be a really thick head of hair, the transformation is remarkable. I am very happy with my results.

Feels good and helps against dandruff
By Torsten from Denmark, age 47, who has been using Alpecin caffeine shampoo for 9 months:
I am not sure whether I should rate this product as a success but it relieves my scalp itching. My hair is dry and thinning so I apply Rogaine daily to halt hair loss and use Alpecin caffeine shampoo twice a week for dandruff. I cannot say my hair loss condition has improved due to Alpecin but my dandruff problem has got better since the first day I used it.
By Max from the UK, age 41, who has been using Alpecin Double Effect for 6 weeks:
I have been using Alpecin Double Effect plus liquid daily for the last 6 weeks and am already seeing significant hair regrowth. The fine transparent hair on the top is now growing thicker and returning to its original light brown colour. Very impressed so far.
Hair regrowth formula
By Diane from the UK, age 45, who has been using Alpecin for 3 months:
My hair has been thinning for almost 7-8 years, due to extensive weaving and extensions. It was also extremely weak and fragile. My hair was so thin and fine, I could no longer conceal my bald patches around my temples and around the forehead.
I decided to try out alpecin (I had a good feeling this could help). The sensation was intense and it turned out to be the most effective hair product I have ever used. Not only has my hair regrown, it is now dense and extremely strong from the roots. My hair has not been this thick since I was 20 years old. Some products do work.
Does nothing to stop hair loss
By Peter from Belgium, age 39, who has been using Alpecin for 5 months:
Hello, my review is based on five months experience with Alpecin after-shampoo liquid. Initially, I applied it religiously after each shampoo wash for about four months. I liked the burning and refreshing feeling it gave me, as I thought it was necessary in order to bring the caffeine and other active ingredients to deeper skin layers, down to the hair follicles. It also seemed to stiffen my hair with each application but I have not noticed any improvement in my hair loss condition and certainly no regrowth. After about three months of using it my hair became lighter in colour, which has to be due to the liquid’s high alcohol content. Shortly I decided to continue using it only twice a week until finishing my stock and I am becoming increasingly sceptical about caffeine’s positive impact on my hair loss. My hair loss is hereditary and it is fair to say that no product could hold it back so far.
