Review of Men Perfect Natural Hair Colour
Men Perfect is the latest anti-grey hair product from Germany's Schwarzkopf. It is being designed for men and women who wish to reduce the amount of their grey while retaining some natural-looking salt and pepper. Being a grey hair colorant, this product will replace the missing pigment in your hair with its own synthetic colour. It works fine in people whose hair is no more than 50% grey. If applied on hair that is more than 50% grey, it can give you an unnatural reddish tinge. Men Perfect Natural Hair Colour does not contain any heavy metal compounds or allergy inducing ammonia. However, as an added benefit it contains caffeine and taurine which should improve the overall health of your hair and scalp. Caffeine is believed to reduce dandruff and protect the hair from dihydrotestosterone attacks, thus preventing hair loss. Taurine, a naturally occurring organic acid, is thought to maintain proper scalp hydration and to protect hair follicles from negative effects of transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFB1), which causes follicle inflammation resulting in hair loss.
Men Perfect is being applied to your hair in a similar fashion as another Schwarzkopf's grey hair colorant Re-Nature but it works differently as it colours hair immediately and not gradually over several days after the day of application as Re-Nature does. Unlike Re-Nature, this anti-grey tonner gel comes in six different shades and it is, therefore, suitable for anybody whose hair colour is dark blond or darker. After mixing its two components, the gel and the developer, rub the mixture into your hair and leave it working for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse and shampoo your hair. Do not apply it for more than 10 minutes as it may give you a shade that is darker than the one you desired. First start rubbing the gel into areas where you have most of your hair grey and wish to cover them properly. Apply the mixture at very last and only for a few minutes to those areas where you wish to keep more of your hair grey, e.g. on temples. Always use protective gloves in order to prevent colouring your fingers and nails. Water, direct sunlight, shampooing and chlorine in the water negatively affect the durability of the colour. Depending on the amount of grey and the length of your hair you will need to repeat this procedure every 10 to 30 days. Although it is not suggested by the manufacturer, you can use only one half from each of the two components, leaving the rest for the next application as there is enough for two grey heads.
At the moment Men Perfect Natural Hair Colour is only available in Europe and Australia. It is a relatively new anti-grey hair product, introduced only about five years ago, so consumer reviews in English are yet a few but mostly positive. However, there are plenty of consumer reviews from German speaking customers with vast majority of them being positive while a negative review is very hard to find.
